Talita grew up in London, UK and graduated with a BA and MA in Art History from The Courtauld Institute of Art and the University of St. Andrews respectively. She moved to Berlin to begin her career in the commercial art sector taking up a position as artist manager at the Berlin gallery carlier gebauer. She moved on to pursue her passion for design and events working as production manager for Berlin Fashion Week at IMG. More recently she collaborated on the establishment of the cultural house Chaussee 36 Berlin which houses a photographic collection, gallery and multiple event spaces. She co-curated the interior design and managed events with clients such as Apple, Sony, Messe Berlin and many film and photoshoots.
With a shift away from physical events, she embraced her passion for food and enrolled in culinary school in London, graduating from Leiths School of Food and Wine in 2021.
With her background in the arts and events she takes a visual and artful approach to her food. Working commission-specific and devising tailor-made creations, she focuses on detail, while composing a narrative which flows through the event.
Fundamental to her work is the notion that the world has and is being transformed through our ever-expanding food systems which gives us the ability to redesign and rethink our food experiences and choices. At its core is the crucial dialogue between humans and our environment, highlighting the urgency of sustainable food practices, taking into account climate change and human consumption. Focusing on plant-based, low intervention produce she creates monochromatic dinners, stylised tablescapes, for example, evoking imagery of bleached coral or surreal canapés reflecting the brand or theme of the event often allowing for a full body immersive tasting experience for the participant.
